Our Program

The Nebraska Academic Decathlon promotes academic growth, teamwork, and communication skills among students of all achievement levels through statewide academic competitions.

ACADEMIC DECATHLON • An estimated 500 students from 50 high schools participated in Academic Decathlon scrimmages, regional, and state competitions administered by Optimists across the state. Lincoln’s Pius X claimed the large school championship and advanced to national finals in Hawaii. — Read more

Nine students from Pius X High School showed their knowledge of World War I and won the Nebraska Academic Decathlon Feb. 21 to 22, securing themselves a trip to nationals in Honolulu, Hawaii. The Pius X Team unseated Creighton Prep, last year’s champions, at the weekend competition held at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
